San Diego Shooting in Imperial Beach Leaves Woman in Critical Condition
In San Diego’s Imperial Beach a woman who was shot in the face at her apartment is reported to be in serious condition, her boyfriend is in custody for the alleged violent assault.
The San Diego shooting incident occurred on Sunday just after 10:00 p.m. in the 1400 block of Holly Avenue, according to Lt. Dennis Brugos. No one at the South Bay apartment complex heard any gunshots or scene anything unusual.
The shooting victim was taken to UCSD Medical Center where she remains on life support in “grave” condition, said Brugos. Police investigators continued to search the surrounding neighborhoods all throughout the night.
Samuel Durwood Brians, 32, was finally found around 6:00a.m. the next morning on Evergreen Avenue. The suspected shooter was taken into custody on suspicion of attempted murder of his girlfriend and was booked into San Diego county jail where he is being held without bail. An arraignment is scheduled for Wednesday.
